Abu Dhabi Tour Package Guide: What's Included & What It Costs

An Abu Dhabi tour package saves time, bundles tickets at lower rates and removes the stress of arranging transfers yourself. But packages vary widely in what they include. This guide breaks down each Abu Dhabi trip package type, typical costs and the questions to ask before you book. If you are still deciding where to go, see our main travel and tourism Abu Dhabi guide.

What Is Included in an Abu Dhabi Tour Package?

Most packages include the following as standard:

• Hotel accommodation with daily breakfast
• Return airport transfers (private)
• A half-day or full-day Abu Dhabi city tour with the Grand Mosque
• An evening desert safari with barbecue dinner

Common optional add-ons:

• Yas Island theme park tickets
• Louvre Abu Dhabi or Qasr Al Watan entry
• Dhow dinner cruise
• Al Ain or Liwa day trip

Types of Abu Dhabi Trip Package

Every package includes hotels, breakfast, transport and sightseeing. Prices are "starting from" rates per person as listed on royalarabian.com; the final price depends on travel dates, hotel choice and group size.

What Affects the Price of an Abu Dhabi Tour Package?

1. Season: November to March is peak season; summer dates are usually cheaper.
2. Hotel category and location: Yas and Saadiyat resorts cost more than city hotels.
3. Private vs shared services: Private transfers and guides cost more than shared ones.
4. Group size: Families and groups often get better per-person rates.
5. Flights: Packages that include flights can look expensive but may still beat booking separately.

How to Choose the Right Package

• Check that hotel taxes and the tourism dirham fee are included.
• Confirm whether park tickets are single-day or multi-day.
• Ask if the Grand Mosque visit includes a guide or just a drop-off.
• Read the cancellation policy, especially for peak dates.
• Compare the package total against booking each item separately.

Is a Package Better Than Booking Separately?

For first-time visitors and families, an Abu Dhabi tour package usually wins on value and convenience. Independent travellers who only want a hotel and one or two sights may save by booking directly. If you plan to see both emirates, compare our combined Dubai and Abu Dhabi vacation packages.
